Experimental Post-Hardcore sextet Fail The Abstract, comprised of members from past Melbourne bands such as Thieves, Infected & I Sleep You Dance, burst into the Melbourne music scene in early 2013 with their debut single “Dead Ends (The Hopeless)”, produced at T&M Recording (Travis Johnson) in Kangaroo Flat, Victoria. With a mixture of influences ranging from hip hop, rock and metal of all sub genres, Fail The Abstract fuse together these elements to make one, heavy, experimental post-hardcore sound to call their own. Combined with tough vocals and angelic melodies throughout.

Soon after their inception, they were picked up by Australian-based management and booking agency, Adversary Agency, joining the roster alongside acts such as NICOLAS CAGE FIGHTER, The Stratagem, Here’s To Hoping and Hideaway. Now booked by Ryan Matheson, the show opportunities that were picked up by the band were impressive to say the least. After first hitting the stage in June, the release of their second single “Hell Bound” saw Fail The Abstract share the stage with American post-hardcore veterans, ALESANA, on their Australian Tour alongside Save The Clock Tower (TAS), as well being given the opportunity to open for one of Melbourne’s biggest parties of the year, PLASTIC! on November 4th (Melbourne Cup Eve), alongside Aussie heavyweights THY ART IS MURDER & BURIED IN VERONA.

With the release of their newest single “Exanimis” coming in the new future, keep an eye, and ear out for these hard hitters!
